NOTRE HISTOIRE

Old West Iron est une petite entreprise familiale dirigée par Lisa et Jon Westerlund et Keira Gneiting. Réalisant nos rêves, nous avons déraciné du nord du comté de San Diego pour déménager notre entreprise familiale dans une petite parcelle à Felt, Idaho, juste de l'autre côté des montagnes Teton de Jackson Hole, WY. Jon et moi sommes impliqués dans le fer depuis plus d'une décennie, de la grande érection de fer structurel sur site à la conception et à la fabrication de fer sur de grands projets commerciaux tels que "The Grand Hotel & Spa at Del Mar" en Californie du Sud. Après avoir profité de la hâte de vivre une vie professionnelle trépidante avec une grande entreprise en croissance rapide et de nombreux employés, nous avons tous deux décidé de réduire l'échelle et de nous concentrer davantage sur des articles matériels uniques difficiles à trouver que nous pourrions vendre sur Internet. Après de nombreuses années à diriger un atelier de forgeron, nous avons reconnu le besoin d'une quincaillerie rustique plus simple pour compléter à fond un look authentique dans les projets. En répondant aux besoins de nos clients en quincaillerie spécialisée personnalisée, nous avons créé un portail vers des produits en fer fabriqués à la main abordables qui apportent le style d'hier sur le marché d'aujourd'hui. Une fois que ma fille a déménagé en Idaho et a retrouvé notre entreprise, Keira et moi avons porté nos répliques authentiques en fer forgé du XVIIe siècle à un tout autre niveau grâce à nos recherches approfondies sur l'histoire et les conceptions en fer. Nous avons déployé des efforts considérables pour reproduire la quincaillerie en fer pour qu'elle apparaisse comme elle l'était il y a des centaines d'années. En 2015, nous avons changé notre nom de Teton Iron en Old West Iron, en essayant de suivre les dernières règles de Google, nous avons dû créer un nouveau site Web conforme à Google.

Our forge sits beneath the old Buffalo Bluff in rural Idaho — a piece of western history that inspires everything we make. Here, our family and veteran smiths create exclusive Old West Iron designs as well as faithful reproductions of historical ironwork from centuries past.

We offer:

• Custom pizza oven doors

• Forged décor and architectural elements

And more.

You’ll find many of our finishes and textures — such as Wrought Iron Patina, Aged Pewter, and Oil Rubbed Bronze — applied by hand for depth and authenticity.

Each piece is finished, inspected, and packed right here in Idaho.

We ship worldwide, but we proudly serve our local Felt & Teton Valley community, where walk-ins are welcome.

At Old West Iron, your order begins with raw steel and ends with a piece of heirloom-quality ironwork. Our forging process involves:

  1. Heating the steel in the forge
  2. Shaping each piece with hammer and anvil
  3. Adding unique textures by hand
  4. Applying custom finishes
  5. Inspecting and packing every item in-house

This traditional approach ensures authenticity you can see and craftsmanship you can feel.
