Our items are made from low carbon steel, which may rust, but we offer multiple finish options to ensure long-term use. Our traditional blacksmith's finish is a hot beeswax treatment, creating a protective matte coating that works well indoors or in protected outdoor areas. For high moisture or direct sun exposure, we offer a heavy duty polyurethane coating for increased rust resistance. However, all finishes will eventually wear off, so if rust does occur, simply buff and wax the item for a renewed finish.
