Georgian iron hinge strap is strongly based on symmetry taking after the classic temple style of Ancient Greece. This style flourished from 1714 to 1830 in Brittan but in America was cut short by the Revolutionary War. Modern day Georgian style homes are also referred to as Colonial Revival. This design is well suited for Colonial, Federal, Neo-Classical, Regency and Palladian design styles.
